“I had that same horse in the second round here last year,” Aus said. “I ended up getting my spurs set (in him) and I tore my meniscus. After that, I missed all of August and half of September. By the time I was cleared to come back I was out of it as far as qualifying for the NFR.”
Saturday, Aus got some measure of revenge as the 25-year-old chases his first trip to the finals. He entered the week No. 17 in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association world standings. The Top 15 cowboys in each event qualify for the season-ending NFR. National Finals Rodeo Live NFR
